Sliders
- 12 Hawaiian sweet rolls
- 1 pound bacon, cut into halves
- 12 large eggs
- 12 slices cheddar cheese (or your favorite cheese)
- 1/4 cup milk or cream
Topping
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- Optional: Everything bagel seasoning, for topping
- Prepare the Bacon: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange the halved bacon slices in a single layer. Bake for 15-20 minutes until crispy and golden. Once done, transfer the bacon onto a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess fat.
- Prepare the Eggs: Crack the eggs into a large bowl and add milk or cream along with salt and pepper. Whisk thoroughly until combined. Melt 1 tablespoon of butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Pour in the egg mixture and gently push the cooked parts towards the center, allowing uncooked eggs to flow underneath. Cook until eggs are mostly set but remain slightly moist. Remove from heat.
- Assemble the Sliders: Lower oven temperature to 350°F (175°C). Horizontally slice the Hawaiian rolls and place the bottom halves in a greased 9×13 inch baking dish. Layer with baked bacon, then spread scrambled eggs evenly on top. Place cheese slices over the eggs and carefully cover with the top halves of the rolls.
- Prepare the Topping: In a small bowl, combine melted butter, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and onion powder. Whisk together until fully blended. Brush this mixture evenly over the tops of the rolls. If desired, sprinkle everything bagel seasoning for extra flavor and texture.
- Bake the Sliders: Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 15-20 minutes until the cheese melts and sliders are heated through. Remove the foil and continue baking for another 5-10 minutes to achieve a golden brown, slightly crispy top on the rolls.
- Serve: Allow the sliders to cool for a few minutes before slicing into individual portions. Serve warm for a delightful and satisfying breakfast treat.
Notes
- Use any cheese of your choice if cheddar is not preferred; Swiss or pepper jack work well too.
- For a healthier twist, consider turkey bacon or reduce the amount of bacon.
- Everything bagel seasoning adds a nice flavor and texture but is optional.
- These sliders can be assembled the night before and baked fresh in the morning.
- Store leftovers covered in the fridge for up to 3 days and reheat before serving.
