4.6 from 123 reviews

These Chocolate Pizzettes are delightful mini desserts featuring a crispy pizza dough base topped with rich chocolate spread and a sprinkle of sugar. Simple to prepare and perfect for a quick sweet treat or party appetizer.

Ingredients

Base

  • Pizza dough – enough for 6 small pizzettes

Toppings

  • Chocolate spread – 1/2 cup
  • Sugar – 2 tablespoons
  • Butter – 2 tablespoons, melted

Instructions

  1. Prepare the dough rounds: Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface to about 1/4 inch thickness, then cut into small rounds approximately 3 inches in diameter using a cookie cutter or glass.
  2. Add the chocolate spread: Evenly spread a generous layer of chocolate spread on each dough round, leaving a small border around the edges.
  3. Sprinkle sugar and butter: Lightly sprinkle sugar over the chocolate spread on each pizzette, then brush the edges with melted butter for a golden finish.
  4. Bake the pizzettes: Place the topped dough rounds on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 10-12 minutes, or until the dough is crisp and golden.
  5. Cool and serve: Remove from the oven and let the pizzettes cool slightly before serving to allow the chocolate to set but remain soft and gooey.

Notes

  • You can substitute the chocolate spread with Nutella or any preferred chocolate hazelnut spread.
  • For extra flavor, sprinkle a pinch of sea salt over the chocolate before baking.
  • If you prefer a thicker crust, roll the dough slightly thicker before cutting rounds.
  • These pizzettes are best served warm for the softest, melty chocolate experience.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days.
