Ingredients

Scale

Sliders

  • 24 King’s Hawaiian Rolls (2 12-pack packages)
  • 24 meatballs (frozen or fresh)
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese

Garlic Butter

  • 1/4 cup butter (softened)
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped)
  • 1/2 tsp dried basil
  • 1/4 tsp dried thyme
  • 1/4 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/2 tsp garlic paste
  • 1 pinch red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375˚F (190˚C) to ensure it is hot and ready for baking the sliders.
  2. Make Garlic Butter: In a small bowl, combine the softened butter, chopped parsley, dried basil, dried thyme, kosher salt, garlic paste, and red pepper flakes. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  3. Prepare Rolls: Arrange the King’s Hawaiian rolls tightly together in a 9×13-inch baking pan. Using a serrated knife, carefully cut out the center of each roll, creating a small hole. Brush the tops and inside edges of the cut holes generously with the garlic butter mixture. Bake for 6 to 8 minutes to toast the rolls and melt the butter.
  4. Assemble Sliders: Mix the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese together. Fill each hollowed-out roll with half of this cheese mixture. Place one meatball inside each hole on top of the cheese, then spoon a dollop of marinara sauce over each meatball. Sprinkle the remaining cheese evenly over the tops of all sliders.
  5. Bake Sliders: Return the sliders to the oven and bake for an additional 20 to 25 minutes, or until the meatballs are heated through and the cheese is thoroughly melted and bubbly.

Notes

  • You can use fresh or frozen meatballs depending on convenience; if frozen, ensure they are fully warmed during baking.
  • Adjust the red pepper flakes quantity to control the heat level in the garlic butter.
  • For easier serving, cool sliders slightly before slicing individually.
  • If desired, add extra fresh parsley on top for garnish after baking.
