Mini Grilled Cheese Dippers are a delicious, bite-sized twist on the classic grilled cheese sandwich. Made by assembling bread with cheese, grilling until golden and melty, then slicing into fun, easy-to-dip sticks, these dippers are perfect as a snack or appetizer for cheese lovers of all ages.

Ingredients

Scale

Bread

  • 4 slices of white or whole wheat bread

Cheese

  • 4 slices of cheddar, American, or your favorite melty cheese

Butter

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened

Instructions

  1. Assemble sandwiches: Lay out two slices of bread each and place cheese slices evenly on top. Cover with the remaining bread slices, forming two sandwiches.
  2. Grill until golden: Heat a skillet over medium heat. Spread softened butter on the outside of each sandwich and place in the skillet. Cook for 3-4 minutes per side or until bread is golden brown and cheese is melted.
  3. Slice into dippers: Remove sandwiches from skillet and let cool slightly. Using a sharp knife, slice each sandwich into 3-4 long, thin strips to create dippers perfect for dipping or snacking.

Notes

  • Use room temperature butter for easier spreading and better browning.
  • For extra flavor, add garlic powder or herbs to the butter before grilling.
  • Try different cheeses for unique flavor combinations, such as mozzarella, gouda, or pepper jack.
  • Serve with tomato soup or your favorite dip for a complete snack.
