Ingredients

Scale

Cold Brew Coffee Layer

  • 1 ½ cups cold brew coffee (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 tablespoon coffee liqueur (optional, such as Kahlúa)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon cocoa powder, for dusting

Creamy Tiramisu Foam

  • ¼ cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons mascarpone cheese, softened
  • 1 tablespoon sweetened condensed milk
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Garnish

  • Cocoa powder, for dusting
  • Chocolate shavings (optional)

Instructions

  1. Mix the Cold Brew Layer: In a tall glass, combine 1 ½ cups cold brew coffee, 1 tablespoon coffee liqueur (if using), and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. Stir well to blend all flavors thoroughly.
  2. Make the Tiramisu Foam: In a small bowl, whisk together ¼ cup heavy cream, 2 tablespoons softened mascarpone cheese, 1 tablespoon sweetened condensed milk, and ½ teaspoon vanilla extract until the mixture is thick and smooth, with a soft, pourable consistency.
  3. Pour the Foam Over Coffee: Gently spoon or pour the prepared tiramisu foam over the cold brew coffee, allowing it to float on top creating a layered effect.
  4. Add the Final Touches: Lightly dust the top with cocoa powder using a small sifter, and sprinkle with chocolate shavings if desired to enhance the tiramisu flavor and presentation.

Notes

  • Use a high-quality cold brew coffee for the best flavor; the coffee makes a significant difference.
  • Do not overwhip the foam; it should be thick but still soft and pourable.
  • Chilling your glass before preparing the drink keeps it refreshingly cold.
  • Dust cocoa powder lightly for a balanced tiramisu finish — a little goes a long way.
  • Customize your drink by adding drizzles of caramel or flavored syrups if you prefer extra sweetness.
  • No mascarpone? Cream cheese can be substituted.
  • For a dairy-free version, use coconut cream instead of heavy cream and a dairy-free mascarpone alternative.
  • If skipping coffee liqueur, you can add a splash of almond or hazelnut extract for flavor.
  • Make the cold brew the night before for convenience.
  • Tiramisu foam can be prepared ahead and stored in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours.
